The first comprehensive exhibition of Cambodian sculpture to be
held in the United States of America, ‘Millennium of Glory’
also travelled to France and Japan. The exhibition included 99 works
of art, dated from the 6th to the 16th centuries, from the collections
of the National Museum of Cambodia and the Musée Guimet in
Paris.
The Treasures of the Angkor Empire

This exhibition consisted of approximately 100
pre-Angkor, Angkor and post Angkor period works of art, form the
collection of the National Museum of Cambodia. The exhibition featured
a range of sculptural works from the Buddhist and Brahmanist traditions
to illustrate the harmony, grandeur and beauty of Khmer art and
architecture.
